We need to be saved because we are totally lost in sin. It’s not that we need to save ourselves—we cannot do so—but that we need to be saved. The Bible teaches the total depravity of the human race; that is, every aspect of our being has been corrupted by sin.
“As it is written and forever remains written,
“There is none righteous [none that meets God’s standard], not even one.
There is none who understands,
There is none who seeks for God.
All have turned aside, together they have become useless;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”
“Their throat is an open grave;
They [habitually] deceive with their tongues.”
The venom of asps is beneath their lips.”
“Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood,
Destruction and misery are in their paths,
And they have not known the path of peace.”
“There is no fear of God [and His awesome power] before their eyes.”
Romans 3:10-18 (Amplified Bible)
However, God provided a Savior:
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

One of the hardest things for anyone to understand is that the forgiveness of our sins and the free gift of salvation, are not things that we can earn or deserve through living a good life or through our own merit. The Bible specifically deals with this in the following passage:
“For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 (Amplified Bible)
It’s not of yourselves & It cannot be earned by your own good deeds.
Christ did the work for us, because we cannot redeem ourselves.

The concept of whether one can lose their salvation is a topic that has been debated within Christian theology for centuries. Some hold the belief that salvation can be forfeited due to various reasons, while others firmly maintain that true salvation is eternally secure once received. In this perspective, we draw upon verses from the Amplified Bible to affirm that once a person is born again through faith in Jesus Christ, their salvation is irrevocable.
The Bible makes it clear that salvation is not something that can be easily lost. In John 10:28-29 (Amplified Bible), Jesus says, "And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand." This emphasizes the unbreakable security that believers have in the grip of both Jesus and the Father.
Additionally, the apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:38-39 (Amplified Bible), "For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
It's important to recognize that the Bible speaks of those who may appear to depart from the faith, but this departure is indicative of their true spiritual state. 1 John 2:19 (Amplified Bible) addresses this, saying, "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they went out, so that it would be clearly shown that none of them belongs to us."
The idea that salvation can be lost contradicts the very essence of being born again. John 3:3 (Amplified Bible) explains, "Jesus answered, 'I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.'"
In conclusion, the perspective that genuine salvation can be lost contradicts the foundational teachings of being born again and the eternal security offered by Christ's sacrifice. While some may try to argue otherwise, the Bible's verses firmly emphasize the everlasting nature of salvation once received. Those who appear to depart from the faith were never truly born again by the redeeming blood of the Lamb.
So have assurance in your Salvation, for once you have it. It cannot be lost.

Simply Believe, all it takes is simple childlike faith to freely receive salvation.
Here is what the Bible says:
“Because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. — For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” — For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.”
Romans 10:9, 11 & 13 (Amplified Bible)
Go to prayer and genuine belief in your heart and accept Him as your Savior today.
Believe in your heart, and you are saved!
Below we have provided a prayer in the “Accepting Salvation” section if you are ready to make that decision. Remember, you have to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, that is all that is required. Jesus did all the other work for you. It is finished.
